Stephen F. Lawlor is a director at Nathan Wechsler & Company, P.A. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of New Hampshire (Whittemore School of Business) in 1984 and joined Nathan Wechsler & Company, P.A. in 1985. Steve was admitted as a principal in 1992.

Steve has a unique ability to help clients achieve their business goals. He has a wide variety of audit, tax and consulting experience in many industries including construction, manufacturing, wholesale and retail distributors, real estate, and employee benefit plans. This experience, along with the ability to listen and understand clients’ needs, has made him a valuable advisor in achieving their business and personal goals.

Steve consults with clients in the design, implementation, and administration of employer sponsored retirement plans. Fifteen years ago, Steve pioneered this practice area as an additional value added service that Nathan Wechsler & Company, P.A. could provide its clients. He has developed this department into a successful practice niche assisting clients with all aspects of retirement and employee benefit plans including providing ongoing plan administration.

Steve has been an instructor for the National Business Institute as well as a featured speaker at the New Hampshire Society of CPAs and the New Hampshire Bar Association Tax Forum. In addition he was the recipient of the 2011 Above and Beyond Award given by the Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire.

Steve is a board member and former President of the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has served as the Treasurer of the United Way of Merrimack County, the Assistant Treasurer of the Associated Builders and Contractors of New Hampshire/Vermont and also served on the board of the Associated General Contractors of New Hampshire.
