Wayne B. Geher is the director of the forensic and litigation division, and the Governmental and Single Audit accounting division of Nathan Wechsler & Company, P.A.  He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in Public Accounting from Pace University, Lubin School of Business, in 1980.  Wayne joined Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA in 1986 and was admitted as a principal in 1988.

Wayne, a Certified Fraud Examiner, has extensive forensic accounting experience.  Highly trained in his audit field, he has extensive knowledge in governmental (yellow book) audits and compliance issues.  Wayne is skilled in detecting fraudulent behavior and assists clients with fraud prevention, detection and investigation.

Wayne has significant experience with a variety of industries, including nonprofit, construction and manufacturing.  He works directly with clients and has developed an on-site approach that ensures undivided attention until the project scope is completed.

Wayne has presented seminars on fraud in the workplace and new tax regulations for nonprofit organizations.

Wayne is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, board member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, New Hampshire Chapter, the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

An active member of his community, Wayne has served with several local nonprofit organizations.  He was Chairperson and Treasurer of Community Services Council of New Hampshire for six years and fifteen years, respectively.  He serves on the Advisory Board for the Children’s Place in Concord, was a director of Prevent Child Abuse of New Hampshire, and served as Treasurer of Associated Builders and Contractors of New Hampshire/Vermont.

Wayne was appointed by the Governor’s office for a second five-year term, to the New Hampshire State Board of Accountancy, which commenced on December 1, 2011.  He currently serves as Secretary of the Board.
