Muriel D. Schadee is co-director of the tax service division of Nathan Wechsler & Company, P.A. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting (valedictorian) at Southern NH University and joined Nathan Wechsler & Company, P.A. in 1980. She earned a Master of Science Degree in Taxation (summa cum laude) from Bentley College in December of 1998. Muriel was admitted as a shareholder/director in 1989.

Muriel has significant experience in a variety of industries including construction, professional and technology firms and concentrates in the tax service area. Her practice covers complex tax issues and strategic tax planning for businesses and high net-worth individuals, including corporate and partnership transactions, mergers, sales and acquisitions of businesses, and tax-free exchanges.

Muriel has participated in the University of Illinois/AICPA National Tax Education Program for five years, and has presented seminars related to complex tax issues. She was the recipient of the Wall Street Journal Award for accounting excellence.

Muriel has authored Internal Revenue Service private letter ruling requests and is published in the federal register. Highly regarded, she has the ability to articulate precise, convincing and compelling arguments regarding IRS positions. She has also prepared significant IRS claim requests, requiring Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation approval.

Muriel is an active member of her community. She has held board positions including President of the NH Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction, Treasurer of First Night NH, Treasurer of the Women’s Fund of New Hampshire, a board member of the New Hampshire Good Roads Association, a board member of The Heart Association, and a member of Kiwanis. She is currently a Scholarship Committee Member of the New Hampshire Good Roads Association and serves on the Board of Concord Hospital and is on the Concord Hospital Planned Gift Advisory Committee. She also maintains membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants – Tax Section, and the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants.
