(Concord, NH | April 18, 2016) – Kirk Leoni, a principal CPA at Nathan Wechsler & Co., will be the new chairman of Canterbury Shaker Village’s Board of Trustees. Leoni joined the board in 2012 – most recently serving as treasurer – and officially took the reins as chair on April 16.

Canterbury Shaker Village is a museum, National Historic Landmark and restored village whose mission is to preserve the 200-year legacy of the Canterbury Shakers and provide a place for learning, reflection and renewal of the human spirit. It has a unique structure that includes a governing board of trustees, as well as a board of corporators, who are responsible for electing the board of trustees and who act as important advocates for the Village. Its many programs and resources make the 694-acre Village, gardens, trails, mill ponds and reconstructed buildings an internationally-known locale.
Leoni joined Nathan Wechsler & Co. in 1985, and as a principal CPA, he solves complex accounting, financial and business issues, specializing in several areas including manufacturing, construction and nonprofits. His numerous community involvement activities include serving as board member and treasurer at Child and Family Services, a finance committee member for the Concord Chamber of Commerce, a mentor for the Hoffman-Haas Fellowship and past treasurer at NH Audubon, among many others.
He received the Governor’s Service Award in 2012, the New Hampshire Board Impact Award from the New Hampshire Center for Non-profits in 2014 and regularly offers insights into financial topics through presentations and publications.
