It’s your time to shine!
What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?
I honestly couldn’t tell you my favorite movie – I guess it would depend on the genre. Favorite TV show is hands down Friends.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
So many things! An actress, a veterinarian, a stay-at-home-mom, a teacher. I feel like it changed every year. But there was never one thing that I always wanted to be. Except being a mom, I guess.
What hobbies do you have?
I’m a wicked book-worm – paperbacks, ebooks, audiobooks, you name it, I like reading it. I’m also a big animal person. I love dogs and horses and I used to ride all of the time. Contrary to my nature as an introvert, I also really enjoy sports. It doesn’t matter whether I’m coaching, playing, or spectating, I love watching the games.
What was your first job?
Does mowing the yard, weeding my grandma’s garden, or mucking out stalls count? If not, then the first formal, W2 job I had was working at Market Basket in the checkout area.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
You won’t believe this. This is usually one of my answers for the “Two Truths and a Lie” icebreaker. One summer in high school, I got highlights and the chemicals reacted funny somehow and I was allergic to the sun for the rest of the summer. No joke. The doctors had me in long sleeves, hats, and long socks with corticosteroid cream at the handy for my entire summer. I can’t begin to impart on you how awful it was. I would swell up like a balloon and get a wicked rash and was incredibly itchy anytime I was in the sun. To make matters worse, I was on a travel softball team and we spent every weekend playing tournaments… It was a long summer…
What kind of music do you like? What’s on the playlist on your car?
My favorite kind of music is 80/90’s country but I can rock out to Backstreet Boys with the best of them. I also listen to a lot of classical music during tax season to unwind.
Do you have a “Bucket List?” If so, what’s on the top of the list?
I actually don’t have a bucket list. I guess if I had to pick a new place to see/visit, I’d want to go to Reykjavik in Iceland and see the Northern Lights.
What food could you NOT live without?
English muffins with peanut butter – it’s my breakfast every. single. day.
If you could meet one person dead or alive, who would that be?
They say don’t meet your heroes, so this could be a dangerous question. For the dead category, I think I’d probably want to meet Robin Williams or Steve Irwin. For an alive person, I’d want to meet… maybe Ryan Reynolds? He seems like he would be a blast to hang out with. Or maybe Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
What’s your favorite sport to watch?
Ohhhhhh, that’s a tough one. I really don’t know. Not basketball, I find Olympic Curling more entertaining than basketball. Maybe field hockey, football, or baseball.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
I’d like to teleport. So much time out of my life is spent commuting and stuck in traffic. Let me teleport to daycare then back to work and then to different houses for holidays and I’d be one happy lady!
Alone and on an island, what book would you take with you?
The worst part about being a bookwork? You have tons of favorites. Maybe… Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie, Moon Called by Patricia Briggs, pretty much any Kristen Ashley Book, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, or Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas? I don’t really know. Just give me a solar charger and my Kindle Paperwhite.
