In a recent article for Forbes, Dr. Gloria Horsley offers insight regarding the digital transformation tactics that worked well for the nonprofit that she leads.
- Video – Posting live videos on social media is a great—and relatively low-cost—way to reach a lot of followers. Consider doing live discussion videos where you allow your audience to ask questions, then keep them posted online for viewers to watch later.
- Meetings – Holding online gatherings is significantly cheaper than doing them in person. Dr. Horsley’s nonprofit used both webinars and podcasts to expand their audience and engage with their supporters.
- Outreach – There are a lot of digital tools available, and at various price points. The author’s organization used the following: a free content calendar, a basic CRM, low-cost Facebook ads, low-cost video conferencing platforms, and free and low-cost tools for search engine optimization and content tracking.
